Established
in 1955, the Santee Chamber of Commerce is a coalition of people
dedicated to the promotion and advancement of commercial,
industrial, professional and civic interests. In addition to
providing efficient, courteous assistance to visitors, residents and
businesses, the Chamber is also an advocate for a well planned and
balanced community, supported by a healthy expanding business
community.
Operating
under the guidance of a volunteer board of directors, the Chamber
carries out numerous programs, all designed to encourage economic
development, small business education, government policy analysis
and positive community relations. With over 250 acres zoned for
commercial growth and another 400 acres marked for industrial
development, city planners are looking forward to strong growth over
the next 20 years.
